AUDITION NOTICE!
Jackson County Community Theatre will present
"All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten" on
November 12, 13, 19, 20,
2010.
Auditions will be held on Sept. 12 and 13, at 7:00
p.m., at the theatre.
Make sure that you are available for ALL performances
before trying out.
If you would like to receive a detailed audition
notice via the US postal service, just drop us an email to
mail@jcct.org, giving us your postal
address.
Audition notes from the Director:
This show is made up of 20 short
vignettes. Each "scene" has 1-5 characters involved. The show
can be cast with as few as 5 or as many as 92
actors. (I think that 92 would be a bit too much for the green
room to hold but, boy, would the cast party be fun.) No parts
are gender or age specific but the show was designed to be done
with adults so the casting notice said 20 years old and up.
What I will be looking for are
"storytellers"; actors who can tell a story to the audience and
engage them. In addition, the actors need to be confident and
uninhibited. I also will need a singer who can sing "The
Kindergarten Song".
Hope to see you there. Please be on
time and bring your personal calendar with you so you can check
for conflicts in scheduling.
Oh, and by the way, this would be a
great show to welcome a new friend to the JCCT stage. I could
cast them in just one or two scenes - whatever they are
comfortable with. So, bring a guest to auditions.
